On the following pages the tasks of the in-house sewage disposal and its technical facilities and services are being explained.

According to § 149 Lower Saxon water law (NWG) the town of Verden has the duty of sewage disposal. This task was looked after by a special department of the town administration until 1995. With the founding of the in-house operation this task has been transferred to it on the 01.01.1996.

The in-house operation is a organisational unit of the town administration Verden, legally dependent but economical independent operation.

The acting bodies of the in-house operation are the operation committee and the plant manager.
