Shopping in the Wesermarsh

Shopping to your heart's content

image author: Wirtschaftsförderung Wesermarsch GmbH

At the contemplative pedestrian zone of the market town Brake form careful restored trade, packing and storage houses as well as villas from the 19th century, a lovely backdrop for a shopping spree. One of the oldest villages at the Unterweser is Elsfleth. The seafaring town exudes still today the atmosphere of a little cosy town. You can stroll around at Nordenham's generously planned pedestrian zone, shop to your heart's content and of course also stop for refreshments at one of the lovely cafés and restaurants with typical North-German cuisine.

But also everywhere in our little villages and parishes you will find extensive shopping choices that offer anything from regional typical souvenirs to a great grocery assortment. Should you seek something distinct — watch out for the little traditional shops along and also off our roads. Many regional towns preserved the tradition of a weekly market. In addition you can also buy fresh produce at the farmer's markets directly from the producer.

Several farm-shops directly on the farm offer their produce, from the lamb-salami over fruit to cheese. Spoil yourself with fresh fish and prawns straight from the cutter or with fresh baked bread from mill-bakery.
