The joint community of Selsingen is formed by the agricultural utilisation. Many commercial industries, handicrafts and services set up their business here.
Additionally the joint community focuses on soft tourism. Particularly hiking in the area of the joint community on paths along the waterways, orchards, ancient villages or shady forests is very popular. The very well sign posted hiking paths are suitable for bicycles, horseback riding or by foot. Especially the paths are suitable for Nordic Walking.
Particular places of interest within the joint community are the Selsinger Heimathaus (community centre), the Dutch windmill Elisabeth, the water-mill in Eitzte as well as the Eckes Hus, the one and only remaining smoke house in the district of Rotenburg.
The village of Ostereistedt is well known nationwide. Children have the opportunity to write well in time their greetings or about their wishes and sorrows per postal services or per e-mail to the Osterhasenzentrale (Eastern Bunny Centre/ to Hanni Hase..
At present: Hanni Hase is there again for everybody!
