Drostei in Pinneberg

The Drostei was used for a long time as residence and workplace by the bailiff, representative of the Danish king and later as district administrator of the district Pinneberg.
The Drostei itself was built in North German Baroque style from 1765-1767. The architect was probably Ernst-Georg Sonin.

Building for the governor
The then steward Hans von Ahlenfeld built this imposing house for his business activities in 1765.

Like an embassy
This building, the Drostei was also used by the Danish king as seat. Later it was made available as apartments for Prussian district administrators.
