The sixteen formerly independent villages of the Greater Municipality Kalletal are situated on over 100 square kilometres north of the old Hanse town Lemgo. Peace and tranquility in an intact nature dominate in the unique mountainous landscape of the Lippe north up to the river Weser floodplains.

To discover Kalletal, means a unique experience with north-Lippe fauna and flora. Nearly 50 kinds of wild flowers, among them protected orchids, alone can be admired in the nature reserve at the Teimer.
Lovely smelling beech woods are ideal for a hike or a bicycle tour on the extensive and well signposted path network.

Destinations are the Wald and Forst Museum Heidelbeck, the windmills in Bentorf and Bavenhausen, Palace and Weser Leisure Time Centre in Varenholz and the animal park Kalletal. Friends of demanding cabaret meet at the Deele Brosen.
