The community Heuerßen with the local district Kobbensen is situated at the northwest edge of the Bückeberg, along the former border county Schaumburg/Schaumburg-Lippe. The first mentioned was in the year 1224. The occasion was the settlement of a land parcel to the Johannes-monastery near Stadthagen.
The beginnings of the village probably started centuries earlier. A harmotome found in Church's tomb dates back to the time from 9. to early 11. century.
The present church in Heuerßen was built around 1200. From 1972 onwards a development area with 96 building sites along the Südbach was created. By now they are all built.
From 1984 -1998 onwards further building sites have been opened up in the district Kobbensen 'Auf der Bult' and 'im Dorfe' as well 'Steinbrink' and 'Mühlenkamp' in Heuerßen. A meeting place (village hall) for residents and local clubs has been constructed in Kobbensen in the year 1984.
Apart from some smaller commercial operations the community's agricultural character has been preserved to the present.
Housing area 'Mühlenkamp' the new development area borders directly at the easterly situated and a few years ago classed as outstanding development area 'Steinbrink' in regards to 'location' but still keeps its character as development area. The building sites have been designed to guarantee the optimal building usage in size as well as in location to each other. An advantage valued by all who appreciate usefulness and living quality.
