At a first glance the concrete tapeworm of the federal motorway, which meanders through the Aue valley seems to damage the idyllic countryside. A second look shows that the winding road runs again and again over special bridges, passing small side valleys, expertly crafted constructions, architectonic reverence to nature. And there is an abundance of nature in the valley of the soft Aue. Meadows and small forests form a colourful rag rug between the dispersed small villages - to hike by bicycle or on foot any lovelier is more or less impossible.
