Community Gnarrenburg inmidst the Elbe - Weser - triangle situated, offers the visitor through its diverse landscape always a new oicture. Expanding moor areas which are partly under nature protection, invite a walk through the forest, heathland and geest areas. If you rather ride your bike, there is a well cared for bike trail net. An experience for young and old is a drive with a hores drawn carrige through the moor areasand along the 19km long Oste - Hamme - Canal.
Fun and recreation with sport and culture
The Museums courtyard 'Historical moor farm' in Augustendorf Nr. 11 gives an insight into the hard life of bygone moor-farmer generations. One of the highlights is the baking of bread and cakes as in grandmothers time in the stoneoven. Unique in the neighbourhood is the Einzigartig in der näheren und 'Glass - Museum Marienhütte and Teufelsmoormuseum" in Augustendorf Nr. 1. On show are old glass goods, tools and other legacies of the former Gnarrenburger glassworks (1750 - 1976).
Paintig exhibitations, old trades and handicrafts, local and village festivities and other cultural events have their place in the leisure time offer in the community as well as the sports activities. block>
