Institute for Oceanography at the Christian-Albrechts-University in Kiel

The Institute for Oceanography at the Christian-Albrechts-University in Kiel was founded in 1937 under the management of the zoologist Adolf Remane. The individual special branches deal with all aspects of maritime research. The public is able to visit the Institute's Aquarium as well as the three research ships.
