Schnoor Quarter

Narrow alleys, small houses and one big church: The Schnoor is that quarter of the Free and Hanseatic city of Bremen. Here you'll find cafés and restaurants, shops with all sorts of curiosities and souvenirs and lovingly designed arts and crafts.

The string of houses (Low German 'Schnoor') and in-between the high-towering St. Johannis church form a piece of the living past, of an old Hanseatic Bremen, which has vanished everywhere between department stores and office wings. Do take a look at our pages! You will be surprised how diverse, modern and lively this historic quarter is!
