The Buntpapierfabrik Gottfried Möller Söhne started their company in 1849. Here, the paper is being dyed with aniline dyes. Fancy stained paper is created through the adding of fibres and wood flour or the spraying on of dye solutions when the paper is still damp. The company was closed in 1920 and the building used as storage space and leased out. The Wahle GmbH, apiculture supply, gave the house the name after the war "Wahlesche Fabrik". The attempt to create a textile museum in the accommodation has failed.
Today, the factory houses a modern service centre with offices and event rooms.
