Affaltrach, location of the entire community's Town HallAffaltrach, the biggest part village of Obersulm, was first mentioned in 1254. Between 1278 and 1322 parts came to the Johanniter-
Kommende Hall. Around 1600 the seat was relocated to here. The Affaltracher "Schlösschen" (small palace), today privately owned, was in 1694 commander's office.
Through influx from 1660 on, the Jewish community reached with 210 persons its highest stand. The in 1851 build synagogue was taken over by the district and renovated. Right now it is a museum about the Jewish history. The Jewish graveyard with old tombs is being preserved and looked after by the community of Obersulm.
