Lueneburger Town Hall

image author: Birgit /pixelio.de

The beautiful Lüneburger town hall at the marketplace in Lüneburg was already built in the 13th-century.
In the course of the centuries it has been constantly extended, rebuilt and added to.

The front of the building, which faces the marketplace is decorated with an elaborate Baroque facade.
The Lüneburger town hall is one of the prettiest town halls in North Germany.

The interior of the Lüneburger town hall is also well worth seeing - the magnificent Fürstensaal (prince's hall) and the Ratsstube (office) should be visited in any case.

The town hall's interior is artfully decorated and has been conserved since the Middle Ages till the present.
