The joint community Fintel with its over 7.500 citizens, is situated in the east of the rural district of Rotenburg Wümme, at the edge of the Lüneburger Heide.

The community convinces with a diverse cultural offers and a family-friendly environment. Characterised by varying cultural landscapes with fields, moors and forests, original half-timbered houses and agricultural homesteads, the area offers not only its citizens but also guests to find optimal recreation. The well developed theme routes as for example the Freudenthal-Route or the Schafstall-Route, are not only ideal for hikers but also for cyclists.
A special point of interest in the joint community, is the Landpark Lauenbrück, the Euro-beach as well as the Landkino (cinema).

With a direct connection to the B75 and thus also to the A1, the Hanseatic cities Bremen and Hamburg are within easy reach.
