Tarmstedt is a community and administrative headquarter of the same named joined community Tarmstedt in the rural district Rotenburg (Wümme) in Lower Saxony. The community Tarmstedt is located at the fringe of the Teufelsmoor north of the A 1 and has a population of ca. 3.500.
The community's coat of arms depicts on green background one axe pointing o the left. Beneath the axe one can see two rings on top of each other.
The community Tarmstedt is still a young recreation area where guests will find peace and relaxation. The villages in the community are ideal to pause and invite to compere past and present.
Since 1949 the four-day Tarmstedt exhibition takes place annually. It's a agricultural machine and equipment exhibition with a great family and entertainment programme. The Tarmstedt exhibition with the slogan 'All veer Doog geit dat hoch her in Tarms', attracts up to 100.00 visitors every year.
In addition the one-day open-air concert 'Rock the Lucas' takes place since 2004.
