Iselersheim is situated in the north-easterly lower bog areas of the Teufelsmoor, the so-called Ostenmoor. The 'Iseler' is the only elevation in the nearby surroundings. Situated here is the Protestant Findorff church Iselersheim, the tomb of the bog coloniser Jürgen Christian Findorff and the Findorff-House. Its centre forms the Protestant Findorff-church, built in 1958, named after the royal Hanover bog inspector Jürgen Christian Findorff, whose burial and memorial is situated nearby.
The Iseler is the highest elevation on a narrow geest ridge. The village got its name from this knoll. The emblem carries the tomb of the royal Hanover bog inspector Jürgen Christian Findorff (1720-1792).
This idyllic farmstead in Neuendamm 88 stems from the time around 1850. It was renewed in 1983 and now serves as barn.
