Civil marriage at the monastery church(ms) To get married in Hennef has always been something special: The wedding chamber at the historical town hall has been a guarantor for a ceremony full of ambiance. But now there is a new option to make this special day unforgettable: a wedding at the monastery church Hennef. From now on, one can book at the Hennef registry office, the former church of the redemption monastery, a 'spectacular wedding chamber'. The former church is 100 years old. The monastery church Hennef, beautifully restored and illuminated, is attractively prepared for the very special ceremony: the in 1904 opened Neo-Romanesque facility in the Hennef quarter Geistingen has been completely redeveloped and modernised from 2007 onwards. A marriage ceremony with 100 guests and more is possible at the large nave or on a small-scale with around 30 guests at the former vestry. Marriage ceremonies are only possible on Saturdays. There is the option to arrange a champagne reception or buffet following the ceremony. Wedding dates and church reservation has to be done by the Hennef registry office. The actual church booking and optional guest hospitality is done via the church owner, the company TIME TRAX Immobilien GmbH. Wedding chamber at the historical council hall Still popular is the wedding chamber of the city Hennef right in the city centre in the 99 year old town hall. There is space for 40 guests around the bridal couple. If the weather is nice one has the option to toast the 'tying the knot for life' at the town hall's courtyard and greet surprise guests. In bad weather there is an area in front of the chamber to enjoy a drink. Bar tables are available to be used. Important information At the historical council hall, weddings are possible from Mondays to Thursdays, mornings and afternoons as well as Friday mornings once a month also on Saturdays. Wedding ceremonies at the monastery church are possible on Saturdays only. Current dates are available at the registry office. Office charges are 55 Euro. For wedding ceremonies on Saturdays there is an additional fee of 66 Euro, for ceremonies at the monastery church 100 Euro.
