Near the church of the village Drove was the original castle facility situated. Today it has completely vanished. Its former location only shows the still existing motte. In the 13th-century the masters of Drove were mentioned for the first time. The present castle facility was constructed from 1728-1741. In the gable field of the castle gate is apart from the year date 1728 also the coat-of-arms from builder - those of Rohe and those von Blanckart.
