Cycling fun in the Wesermarsh

The Wesermarsh is a true cyclist's paradise! Discover the diverse routes in our wide flat countryside! On superb signposted paths through pastures and meadows or along the North Sea dike you will find peace and relaxation, can create your leisure time actively and health consciously and it's above all fun.

The 'Deutsche Sielroute' (German Sluice Route) is one of the loveliest circular cycle paths in Germany. The in itself closed cycle path takes you along the left side of the Weser at the North Sea and across the Wesermarsh. Through marsh and bog, the inland, at the river and along the North Sea coast you can explore secluded villages and sluices, harbours and lively towns. Signposts accompanying you at the round trip and show the way as well as comprehensive map material. The route is very suitable for cycle tours with children and can be planned and started at any chosen point. By the way a very special tip: At the 'Melkhus', at the popular resting stations along the Deutsche Sielroute, you will be spoiled with many delicacies made from delicious milk by our farmers' wives. A package offer for this cycle route has been put together already.

The 'Weser-Radweg' is one of the most attractive cycle-touring-paths in Germany.
From Hann. Münden at the Weserbergland the paths runs via Bremen to Cuxhaven, alternative to Eckwarderhörne at the Jadebusen in Butjadingen through the Wesermarsch. The cyclist will find a diverse river landscape with castles and palaces up to the big port cities and the North Sea.

On the 'North-Sea-Cycle-Route' (Nordseeküstenradweg) you can discover Europe. Ride from the Wesermarsh further on the North-Sea-Cycle-Route. It connects Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, The Netherlands, England and Scotland.

At the'Radrundweg Unterweser' (Cycle-Round-Route) you experience the diverse countryside left and right of the Weser and its tributaries. You ride from Bremen left of the Weser along the Weser-Cycle-Path through the Wesermarsch to Nordenham-Blexen, and then take the ferry to Bremerhaven. From Bremerhaven the path runs along the dike at the Weser's right side via Dedesdorf and Sandstedt to Vegesack. The route runs from here along the Lesum and Wümme back to the Hanse town. Parts of the route can also be done by ship.

The "Hunteweg" starts at the Hunte river dam in Elsfleth and leads on dike paths and through the open countryside always along the Hunte. Then it runs further south of the Hunte into the area of the town Oldenburg, via Wardenburg, Großenkneten and Wildeshausen to Heiligenloh with connection to the cycle-distance-path 'Osnabrück-Bremen'.

"Grüner Ring Bremen". The Grüne Ring chooses paths from existing 800km paths net in the vicinity of 30km around the Hanse town Bremen and signposted them. On three rings one can head for interesting destinations for instance to us into the southern Wesermarsch to Berne and Lemwerder ("The Stedinger Land"). These two communities are connected directly by three fast ferries with the Bremer North.
