The Norder Beste is dammed at the former Borstel watermill towards the mill pond. Like in the active mill times the water rushes through the open weir to the valley so that the Norder Beste is able to continue its course. An observer reckons to experience a hint of watermill romance. At the old wooden bridge over the water passage remnants of the »iron technique « remind one that dam boards could be opened further or closed as required once.
The watermill was most of the time leased out and belonged to the estate Borstel in the past.
