Wenzen is a village and a north westerly district of the city of Einbeck in Lower Saxony. The town is crossed from west to east by the highway 64 and from north to south by the county road 658.
The village of Wenzen has been belonging to the county district of Gandersheim until the administrative reform in 1974. Due to the district and regional reform in 1974, Wenzen became part of the city of Einbeck.

In the separated hatchment you find in the upper part a golden lion standing up against a blue background. In the lower part you find a red mountain with a silver shell gainst a golden background. Here the colours blue and gold symbolise the Herzogtum Braunschweig (duchy), the lion the family of the von Homburg, the red mountain the „Dörfer auf dem Berge“ (villages on the mountain) and the shell the holy Jakobus. In addition the scallop on the coat of arms shall indicated that in earlier time there should have been shells in the Hillebach.
