Weinsberg presents itself

 From the history of Weinsberg
Weinsberg is the original name of the former Reichs-castle. The town and the Weinsberger valley are named after the castle...
For all times tightly connected with the town's name is the historical incident about the devoted wives who carried their husbands as most valuable goods on their backs from the castle in the year 1140, to save them from imprisonment by the Staufer-king Konrad the 3rd.

Weinsberg and Justinus Kerner

To be known over the borders Weinberg has to thank its famous citizen  Justinus Kerner (1786-1862). He was a poet and surgeon; his house became meeting point of the romantic in Swabia. The Kerner-house today invites visits as a museum with valuable memory pieces and a rich art collection.

Weinsberg today

Weinsberg is situated at the intersection of the motorways to Stuttgart, Mannheim, Würzburg and Nuremberg. Life is good in Weinsberg, not only of its lovely countryside position but also because of the great infrastructure. The town got a new face through many municipal and private restoration actions. Generous park facilities are stretching through Weinsberg. The lawns 'Stadtseebachtal' and 'Alte Ziegelei' offer high recreational value. The cultural and leisure time offer are also extremely well defined.
