The largest and at the same time best known part of the Stift Tilbeck are the living accommodations and the workshops in the community Havixbeck. Women (and meanwhile also a few men) with slight to severe mental disabilities live here in a village-like atmosphere in large buildings and smaller family homes together. The two 'old' buildings, 'Gertrud' and 'Hildegard', as well as the chapel and the water tower generate a post-romantic atmosphere.
The Stift Tilbeck is also, for example, a popular destination for cyclists. Situated amidst the Baumberge, it offers a very pretty café, an interesting ambiance and even a small zoo; populated by goats, birds and even Indian runner ducks.
Surpa-regional known is the Tilbecker Barefoot Walk, which offers on circa 3 kilometres a varied landscape and of course you can walk barefoot. Different surfaces turn this walk into a special experience.
