The town Dannenberg

The town Dannenberg with its 14 000 inhabitants thrills with its diverse cultural offers. Many cafés, boutiques and restaurants have established themselves in the lovely half-timbered houses.

Nature lovers will be thrilled by the rich flora and fauna, which has settled in the floodplains of the Elbe valley around Dannenberg. Just right for hiking, cycle tours and horseback rides. Idyllic situated inns and restaurants invite you for a well earned rest.

The joined community Dannenberg also writes German history. The link bridge between Mecklenburg West Pomerania and Lower Saxony was blown up by allied forces in 1943. The Dömitzer Bridge was rebuilt in 1990/91 and is today an important traffic connection to Ludwigslust, Schwerin and Berlin.
