The Olympia Stadium Berlin

Situated at the edge of the Grunewald in the west of the district of Charlottenburg, rests amidst an expansive site the Olympia Stadium Berlin. The monumental building with its clear geometry and unfussy exterior is part of the Olympic park, which consists, apart from the Sportforum, of diverse stadiums, the Waldbühne, the Maifeld with belfry and the Langemarck Hall.
In the centre of the total area stands the Berlin Olympia Stadium, which was honoured as a five-star-stadium in the year 2005 and thus is one of Europe's most modern multi-purpose stadiums.
The stadium-arena impresses as one of Berlin's landmarks not only with annually up to 300.000 tourists on event-free day, but also welcomes, in regular intervals up to 75.000 visitors per event in the areas of sport and culture. The Venue's home team Hertha BSC Berlin, artists like Herbert Grönemeyer, Mario Barth or U2 are guests who use the stadium for their spectacular performances.

Event-free days

Numerous smaller and bigger events take place in the Berlin Olympia Stadium, thus there might be restrictions to the visitor programme.
The stadium stays closed for sightseeing and guided tours on match/event days. Due to safety reasons and/or event preparations, certain sections (e.g. player areas) or the whole stadium might be closed and therefor sightseeing is not possible. After Hertha BSC's match days, the stadium opens around 1pm.
