The district Wesel and the Lower Rhine

'Lower Rhine is everywhere'
said the Moerser cabaret artist Hanns-Dieter Hüsch once.

But come and see for yourself that the Niederrheiner and the Lower Rhine are still unique.

Whether cycling, visiting museums like the Prussia Museum and exhibitions, walking on Roman trails, visiting and enjoying the Sanssouci of the Lower Rhine, experience farmer's cafes or just relax - all that and much more is possible at the Lower Rhine.

The tourist and cultural range are diverse and speaks for itself.

The diversity and the idyll of nature and landscape along Rhine, Lippe and Issel ensure that you will enjoy a stay at the Lower Rhine.

Come and see for yourself.

The cultural landscape Lower Rhine is characterised by the course of the Rhine river, the idyllic old branches of the Rhine and the silted river tortuosity. The district Wesel as part of the Lower Rhine offers the ideal connection between nature and culture experience.

In the east the district Wesel borders directly on the Münsterland and in the southeast it reaches into the Ruhrgebiet. In a few minutes with the car contrasting destinations in the Ruhr metropolises can be reached.

The Dutch border area with its typical Dutch flair and the well worth seeing cities Nimwegen and Arnheim is also only a short distance away.
