The church with the round tower

'The cobblestone church of Pronstorf was first mentioned in 1198', so written in the leaflet 'Vicelin-Kirche Pronstorf'. It stems from late Romanic times. Typically for that is among others the impressive round tower. The pointed spire was put on in the 17th-century. Also the lateral supporting pillars were added later.
While the tower – got a bit tired – after centuries and showed cracks in the brickwork the bells had to be taken out in the year 1807. Only the clock bell stayed in the tower in an open hold. From the original three bronze church bells only one survived the confusions of the 2nd World War. It hangs in the aside standing bell carrier. And 'calls' from here the people to the church service since its 'birth year' 1749.
