The name Simonskall goes back to the master Simon Kremer. The castle Kremer-Hof is from 1643. In Zweifallshammer, which is 7km away, Kremer operated an ironworks. The small Marien chapel, above the Kremer-Hof was constructed 1934-35 and is a place, which is popular for weddings today.
