Seester

image author: sepi.city-map.de

The name Seester derives from the Seesterau, the present river Krückau. It was first mentioned in a certificate from the year 1141.

Many Dutch and Saxons people shaped the social image at that time and helped to prevent floods.
This way fertile arable land rose, which is still being husbanded today.

The community has a population of only 1000 on a surface of ca. 12 km².
