Rosarium in Uetersen
The Rosarium, the rose park is the show case of the town Uetersen. With seven hectare it is North Germany's largest rose garden and the centre of German rose growing.
Boundless rose diversity
Here in Uetersen more than 800 different kinds of roses are being presented. In all thinkable colour graduations and smelling nuances. Situated on a pond next to the town hall the park doesn't only please its day guests with this smell and blossom splendour, which is aesthetically and economically valued.
Worldwide recognition
The town of Uetersen is known around the globe for its rose growing achievements. Here is the republic's largest rose growing area. And that means in plain English that here around 20 million rose plants are being grown annually and in parts exported to far flung corners of the world. Uetersen's byname 'rose city' is well earned.
