The Waller ice rink Paradice offers sports and event fun. Bikini off and skates on! When the summer draws to an end and the outdoor pools closing their gates, ice sport life begins in Walle: Children, families, figure skaters and ice hockey players do their rounds regularly in the Paradice on the two 1.800 square metres large ice rinks until spring.

Since 1998, the Paradice-team considers year on year what kind of events and actions to do, so the visitors have even more fun on the ice. 'We combine most of all movement and music', tells Uwe Kirsch, manager of the ice rink. 'Parties and discos are being offered regularly, mostly for children and teenagers.' Well known Bremer DJs spinning, when the Paradice invites to Single-Disco, Black Music-Party or over-30-fete and you may skate, celebrate or maybe flirt. an ideal combination of sport and entertainment!

The birthday parties on ice are especially popular. Birthday children together with their friends will spend a sportive-exciting afternoon at the Paradice. At the Pistenbar, speedy skater can then enjoy nourishment from the birthday menu. There is also something for the older ice skater: senior runs take place Tuesdays from 1pm – 3pm. Eishockey fans will also get their money's worth, because the Weserstars Bremen have rearmed. Three teams have booked for the league running. In addition the club offers an ice hockey school for children every Saturday.

To keep the ice rink in perfect condition, the staff is working around the clock. The ice surface alone needs a high logistical effort. Every year, over 55.000 litres of water have to be frozen, to create a four centimetres thick ice surface, so that the visitors are able to skate carefree. During the season, additional 5.000 to 6.000 litres are necessary to keep the surface immaculately smooth.
