The Kuhtor (cow gate), built around 1350, forms the entrance to the old town coming from the north. Of the four city gates, which protected the entrance to the town Kempen only the gate tower of the Kuhtor still exists.

In the past cows were driven through the Kuhstraße and the Kuhtor onto community meadows.

View through the Kuhtor in the direction of the old town and Kuhstraße. Above the gate passage stands a Nicholas statue.
