Klein Offenseth-Sparrieshoop borders directly at the town of Elmshorn. The two villages Klein Offenseth and Sparrieshoop are being separated by the motorway A23.

The village became known through rose cultivation. Many of the worldwide known rose species have its origin in Sparrieshoop.

The village has a population of around 3000. Schools as are available locally well as kindergartens.

With a surface of ca. 17 km², Offenseth-Sparrieshoop is not large, but for sure one of the prettiest villages in the land Elmshorn.
