Langenberg is a picturesque small town. If there weren't the modern means of transport, you could feel beamed back to ancient times. The historical town scenery is marked by slating timber framed houses and villas from the past centuries. Worth visiting are also the churches, the old church from 1726 and the new protestant church from 1880.
Completed in 1916 the Bürgerhaus at the Hauptstraße is conspicuous: It is a donation by the silk manufacturer Adalbert Colsmann and his wife. As intended the Bürgerhaus is still used today as cultural venue and social meeting place.
