The Verein Hamburger Feriendorf e.V. is associated with the parity working group for families. There is the option for low income families to claim grants at the charitable society (Arbeiterwohlfahrt, Caritas-Verband, Diakonisches Werk etc.) in your region. This grant is subject to income.

One has also thought about wheelchair-bound guests. Some houses have been adapted and furnished for wheelchairs. These houses have no entrance stairs, the halls and doors are wide, so that a wheelchair can easily reach the bed, shower and WC.
The holiday village has playgrounds, table tennis and basketball goals for children.

The Verein Hamburger Feriendorf e.V. has been founded and is supported by the holiday works of the DGB, the Reichsbund- Landesverband Hamburg- and the Arbeiterwohlfahrt- Landesverband Hamburg.
