At the edge of the nature reserve Lüneburger Heide are very special an rare animals like snow leopard, Arctic fox, musk ox, Kodiak bears, brown bears, Rocky Mountain goats, elks, lynx, raccoons, wapitis, reindeer, Arctic wolfs, Eastern wolfs and European grey wolfs can be experienced close to nature.
On over 60 hectares 120 animal species with over 1000 animal inhabitants live inside a game preserve in the original landscape of the Nordheide. This unique species spectrum covers nearly all in Germany living wild animals. In addition animal species from the northern parts of Asia and America also live here. The game preserve also houses a large number of old and rare breeds of livestock e.g. Poitou donkey or Girgentana goats.

Young and old discover the game preserve as a joint family adventure. In the petting enclosures everybody has the chance to pet goats and fallow deer but also to fed them.
