Doerrigsen

image author: Sebastian Schäfer

Off the beaten track beyond the great traffic of railways and motorways, 8km south of Einbeck and the same distance to Moringen is the village Dörrigsen situated. The village nestles up against the soft rolling slope of the Sudlieth. This Sudlieth is a outlier if the Ahlsburg.

Dörrigsen was first Dorrigesen, around the year 1254 and later also as Doringessen. The village's first school building was constructed in the year 1865 after children were already taught in Dörrigsen since 1800.

Dörrigsen became part of the town Einbeck through incorporation in 1974.
