Former berth for transit shipping between the BRD and Berlin (West). In the transit agreement between the GDR and the BRD easements for inland waterway transport between the BRD and Berlin (West) on GDR areas, were stipulated. In this context, it also came to disclose new berths, among others at the west bank of Lake Plau. Without land contact, inland vessels could stay overnight in this place. For the supervision and control of these ships, boardwalk-like mounds were created. In one of the here built bungalows, members of the GDR water police monitored the ships and its crews during their layover. Since 1989, it has become a popular viewing point on Lake Plau.
