The present church (Johannes-Servatius-church) stands on the foundation of the former minster and is open to the public for prayers and sightseeing on weekends from May to September. During excavations in the parish garden and the church yard foundations of the Reichspfalz and the monastery building were found.

Well worth mentioning is also the 1000-year old justice lime tree in which Pöhlde's emblem is mirrored.

Even though the Harz is not known as a carnival stronghold in Pöhlde they do celebrate with gusto during carnival time. From carnival's soapbox to carnival parade everything is being offered.
Pöhlde is part of the town Herzberg since 1972.
