Section for medieval art at the Herzog Anton Ulrich-Museum, one of Europe's oldest art museums.

The building is a historical replica of Henry the Lion's castle. The permanent exhibtion of medieval exhibits is at the groundfloor; here the original of the Braunschweig castle lion is being kept. Well wort seeing is also the knights' great hall at the upper floor, which was restored in 1995.
