Bevern is a district situated south of the town Bremervörde. The district has a population of circa 1200.

Bevern means beaver river as Bivern (beaver) lived in the past in the river Bever. That is the reason for the village name and the beaver on the escutcheon.

The village centre is the Holy-Cross-church, which is over 100 years old.
Another attention getter stands at the turn direction Hesedorf, the 'thousand year old oak'. In addition Bevern has a brick manufacture, which was first recorded in 1535 already. Today the brick manufacture is being used for visitors.

Many teenagers know Bevern though the discotheque 'Ta Töff'.
