The Aachener Weiher and the close Hiroshima-Nagasaki park are part of the green belt in cologne. Especially in summer, young and old people find their way in the park. Play grounds and large greens create a nice surrounding and bring some fun to the little ones. A lot of dog owners and joggers come to the park to get some fresh air and enjoy this nice place.
In summer, the park is always full of people. Of course reason for that is the beer garden, which offers cool beer and chips. The hollywood swings near the water are always occupied by togetherness seeking couples. Understandable, of course, who does not want to sit on a swing with a view on the pond, barefoot, with his or her favorite person?
The Aachener Weiher does not only offer relaxation. Everyone who wants to dance and drink on the green near the water with his friends, fits here perfectly right. In summer diverse music events and festivals like the „Kulturdeck“ take place in the park.
