Leingarten's landmark
The Heuchelberger Warte was built in the year 1483 by earl Eberhard im Bart. It was part of the 23,5m long bulwark. Württemberg wanted to shield itself against its northern neighbours. The facility reached from Heuchelberg to the Löwensteiner Bergen. With that the total north-south traffic could be controlled. The bulwark served the watchman as observation place by danger.
