The town of Kaltenkirchen has a population of ca 20.000 today and with it's industrial area it can be seen at industrial town.

Kaltenkirchen is situated in the district Segeberg in Schleswig-Holstein. At the periphery are the villages Moorkaten and Heidkaten.

Kaltenkirchen hasn't a lot of sights to offer. One, which could be seen as such is for example the Holsten thermal spring Kaltenkirchen (a big adventure pool with affiliated sauna area and fitness studio).

A branch of the family business Dodenhof has settled in Kaltenkirchen and employs there around ca. 850 people.

Kaltenkirchen has a railway connection (AKN) with four stops.

On the picture's left one can see the St.-Michaelis-Church from the south side, an impressive sight for every tourist.

Otherwise Kaltenkirchen has hardly any other cultural monuments.
Many were pulled down over the years. In 1970 many thatched houses had to make way for modernisation.

Despite that Kaltenkirchen is well worth a visit, which should not be missed.
