The two-part castle with a moat was once situated at the outskirts of Schweinheim. There is not a lot to report about its history. Village, house, farm and court were Schweinheim were first mentioned as a Jülich fief in 1933. The castle's outer bailey was demolished in the 19th-century and in the course of time it became an agricultural farmstead.
