The 27 kilometre long, Germany's third biggest reservoir, is because of its unique location amidst nearly untouched nature annually the destination of many thousand visitors from home and abroad.

With our cabin cable-railway you float from the lake up to the Schloßberg. From there it goes to the town and the Palace Waldeck, which gave the whole holiday region its name. From the palace a lovely view over the lake, the concrete dam and the Ederberge will open up to you.

We carry 720 passengers per hour in the 28 closed cabins of our cable-railway. Generously created car parks at the palace and at the valley station are adapted to modern traffic needs.
