The Antique Museum in the Schnoor presents master works of Greek vase art. Exhibited are most of all ancient Greek wine and oil vessels from the collection Zimmermann, which counts as one of Germany's most important of its kind.
The centre of the unique collection forms the in Athens created black and red figured vases, which were made between 560 BC and 350 BC.
It was Athens heydays. The diversity of picture themes, painted on clay pots from this leading artist, offers an exemplary insight into Greek culture, which had such a formative influence onto Europe's cultural history.
