The game reserve Lüneburger Heide has been something special for nearly 40 years. The deer enclosures were only a part of the species diversity of the enterprise. Wisely the founder, Georg-Friedrich von Krogh, had the vision to distinguish himself from competitors clearly.

Good 30 years ago the game reserve Lüneburger Heide housed already elks, enormous Kodiak bears European brown bears. In the course of time the original game reserve Lüneburger Heide became a zoological garden that measures up to international standard. Extremely rare species find lots of space and court their con-specifics in the wild. For this reason the citizens of the Lüneburger Heide, Hamburg and the surrounding area love this park especially. Many of today's visitors have been coming here as a child already.

At the game reserve Lüneburger Heide animals live mostly 'naturally': on sunny meadows, in enclosures in the forest and even wild birds fly freely. Nature with weather and seasons are further main characters at 'wolf, bear & co'. Whether the wolfs' days with camp fire in late winter, the first animal babies in spring, sheep shearing in summer and golden leaves in autumn.

The game reserve keepers take care of their charges with great engagement, lovingly and sometimes also sacrificially.
Whether wolf's mum Tanja Askani, who might get a little kiss from grey wolfs or keeper Jens Pradel, whose heart beats for the brown bears and raccoons.
a game reserve job is challenging and diverse. Around 70 employees take care of the animals and park.
