A certificate from the year 1313 mentions a church with independent parish in the village of Seegefeld. One can assume that at this time a church existed in Seegefeld that correlates in its basic form today's tower. In 1727 and 1742 the north and south nave were added. At the appendant building, the treasury, was the village school of Seegefeld housed from 1892-1902.
