Village Museum Langlingen
In the by now six exhibition buildings exhibits of past country life are being shown. Diverse households equipment, tools and agricultural implements are presented to the interested visitor and give a real feeling of how people lived and worked in the past.
A living room, bed chamber, children's room, a kitchen and a spinning room with the then used furniture can be seen.
A special enrichment is the lovingly designed and tended herb and scented garden, which is affiliated to the museum. More than 180 labelled herb and medicinal plants are being exhibited.
Regular action days offer visitors the possibility to experience the usage of old tools and equipment live. Cobblers, carpenters and blacksmiths will demonstrate old techniques.
Next to the herb day there is also a presentation of the open-air theatre taking place. Of course the harvest festival is being celebrated in a very traditional way and there are also readings in Low-German.
